The place I would like to visit
I would like to visit Africa. It is my dream to do so. I love nature and wildlife. I have watched many documentaries on Africa. I would love to visit the wildlife sanctuaries there. It would such an adventure! My geography teacher taught us a lesson on Africa. It has fascinated me ever science.
I have read many stories about the Masai Mara National reserve. I want to see the wildlife there. The MasaiMara National Reserve lays about 270kilometers fro Nairobi, and takes a few hours by road from there. It is a large reserve and we can spot a variety of animals there.
We can be sure to see lions, leopards, cheetah, hyenas, giraffe, impala, wildebeest, baboons, warthogs, buffalo, zebra, elephants and hippopotamus in the sanctuary.
Crocodiles can also be seen in the Mara River.
There are many birds also in Masai Mara. I have seen only pictures of these birds. It would be wonderful to see them in real life.
There are many rules we have to follow when we go to a wildlife sanctuary. I would follow all of them.
It may take a long time before I travel to Masai Mara. But now I can dream about it.
My trip to Mahabalipuram
My school takes us on a day trip every year they took us to Mahabalipuram, south India. We left at seven in the morning. Our teacher said it would take us more than an hour to reach as ut was outside Chennai city.
Our class teacher is also our history teacher and she told us about the Pallavas. She told us that Mahabalipuram was an important port during the Pallavas rule. Now it is famous al over the world for its beautiful monuments in rock. I was waiting to see it.
We finally reached Mahabalipuram. We got out of the bus and went to the shore Temple. There were stone carvings of many gods and goddesses. Most of the monuments there were cut out of rock.
We saw all the cave temples and the five ratha or chariots. Our teacher explained that the five chariots were for the Pandavas and Draupadi. It was very fascinating to see that everything carved out of rock. We spent some time observing the carving while our teacher explained their meanings. It was a very informative excursion.
